Cousins

From left to right: Rachel (4yrs.), Drew (2yrs.), David (3yrs.), Braddock (3yrs.) and Sammy (2yrs.)

Someone told me this was the coolest July on record. It certainly didn't feel like a typical July evening last night. We didn't get to see my sister and her kids much last week since Drew was so sick, but we are making up for lost time now.
A lot of relatives went to my parent's house last night for dinner. The kids had a fabulous time playing.
Don't feel too badly for the only girl in the bunch. Rachel can play soccer and hang with the boys just fine. And she's great at telling them exactly what to do. She plays the "Ruby" to Drew's "Max" and I don't know who enjoys it more (and if you don't watch Noggin you won't get this allusion.) David was really possessive of his Gram for a few days but now he is over it. Braddock just enjoys being around kids his age since his brothers are both teenagers and Sammy sometimes lapses into Italian which is hilarious.

All in all it is great for the cousins to be together and the only negative is that Rachel and Sammy will have to fly back home soon.

Excellent use of the word "allusion." I expect nothing less from a former teacher.

And yes, we know all about Ruby and Max at this house.

how is it even possible that you and emilia's kids are already this big...they all look so cute together.

and by the way, david's little curls are precious. we are only blessed with stick straight hair in this family. sigh.

That swing is totally maxed out. Completely understand the Max and Ruby illustration. That show drives Erick nuts.

That was a fun night, Braddock asked if Cancun sand would be in a turtle like Aunt Debras sand.
